Concepts with Which Men at Parties Have Asked Me If I’m Familiar

Posted on

Mansplaining is nothing new; the phenomenon has existed since genders became binary. Urban Dictionary, the only resource worthy of such a term, defines it as “When a man explains something to a woman in a manner regraded as condescending or patronizing.” The idea was slid into circulation via Rebecca Solnit’s (God Save the Queen) 2012 essay, “Men Explain Things to Me,” and was further explored in her 2014 book of the same name. Mansplaining happens every day. It happens everywhere. If you’re a femme-passing person, it’s probably happened to you.

To illustrate how truly absurd this behavior can be, I have decided to document topics and stories that have, at some point or another, been explained to me by a man. Most of these have occurred at bars and parties, but others have happened in classes, in meetings, and in casual interaction. Reader beware: this shit is bananas.

  1. Some tips i have observed in terms of computer system memory is always that there are specs such as SDRAM, DDR or anything else, that must fit the technical specs of the mother board. If the computer’s motherboard is kind of current while there are no operating system issues, modernizing the ram literally usually takes under an hour or so. It’s among the easiest computer upgrade methods one can think about. Thanks for sharing your ideas.

  2. Good blog post. The things i would like to contribute is that laptop or computer memory is required to be purchased when your computer is unable to cope with what you do with it. One can put in two random access memory boards of 1GB each, by way of example, but not certainly one of 1GB and one of 2GB. One should make sure the manufacturer’s documentation for one’s PC to ensure what type of memory it can take.

  3. Thanks for your blog post. Some tips i would like to add is that computer memory has to be purchased should your computer can’t cope with whatever you do by using it. One can mount two good old ram boards having 1GB each, by way of example, but not certainly one of 1GB and one with 2GB. One should look for the manufacturer’s documentation for the PC to make sure what type of storage is necessary.

  4. Thanks for the tips you have shared here. Something important I would like to express is that laptop memory specifications generally go up along with other advancements in the engineering. For instance, whenever new generations of processors are made in the market, there’s usually an equivalent increase in the size demands of all computer memory in addition to hard drive room. This is because the program operated by means of these processor chips will inevitably increase in power to make new engineering.
